On 24th May 2009 the AFL Umpires' Association turned 100 years old.

To recognise the wonderful achievement of reaching this auspicious milestone, the Association published a book titled "The Man in White –the Official History of the AFL Umpires' Association".

It traces the evolution of the Association from its humble beginnings in 1909 as the Victorian Football League Umpires' Association to the AFLUA of today.

It is a fascinating journey through time, a journey taken in company with the most popular sport in this country, Australian Football.

Two editions of the Book were published and are available for purchase.
