He had a magnificent season achieving the 100 match Milestone, officiating in 24 Home and Away matches and 4 finals series matches including the Grand Final, his 3rd in four years.

David became the first goal umpire to win 2 All Australian Awards having previously won it in 2005. He had an outstanding season achieving the 200 match milestone, officiating in 15 Home and Away matches and 4 finals series matches including the Grand Final, his third, having previously featured in the last day in September in 2000 and 2005.
